Muffled around them

Pretty to look at

Itchy to touch

The heat in their hearts 

Reduced to not much

Their thoughts strangled 

Voices drowned in honey

They hear the slander 

around others, so many

Their blood laced with obedience & faith

Each one slowly, sees their own wraith

The ones that tie their blindfolds barefaced

Look at their identity as something to be effaced

Searching consolation in their sisters & brothers

Buried in lace, rest here 

The good children of their mothers

Romanticising a distant jollity

Slipping from the scene expeditiously
